The video-nystagmo-graphy VNG (caloric and non-caloric) is a test dedicated to eye movements and is performed while the person to be examined is seated on a chair. Alcune prove vengono eseguite al buio; Si tratta di un esame eseguito tramite una strumentazione chiamata video-nistagmografo, mirata allo studio del movimento degli occhi, dal quale si ottiene un movimento oculare grafico (nistagmo) utilizzando una videocamera posta sopra gli occhi per inibire la fissazione visiva che ha l’effetto di ridurre il nistagmo.
An infrared camera frames the eyes and their spontaneous movement (spontaneous nystagmus) or induced by specific maneuvers performed on the patient on the examination table.
