All preventive measures regarding PPE were scrupulously observed, with universal masking, distancing, and hand hygiene according to I.S.S. Protocols in collaboration with the Competent Doctor, the Public Health Service of the ASL of Piacenza, and according to current regulations.

Furthermore, screening swabs were activated and maintained for all healthcare and non-healthcare personnel, modulated according to the pandemic curve.

Regarding the activation of audit paths or other methodologies aimed at studying internal processes and the most frequent critical issues, they were calibrated based on the Pandemic Emergency but carried out regularly as needed.

The activity of the Corporate Covid-19 Committee with a multidisciplinary composition continued, which continuously updated the regulations for combating and containing the infection, managing symptomatic patients and their contacts, reducing access to the Facility already equipped with Triage with Thermoscanner, and the virtuous behaviors to be implemented during work activities.

The indications already provided in specific regulations aimed at protecting the health of operators and users in relation to the prevention of the spread of Sars-Cov2 infection remained in force, such as:

  • cleaning and environmental sanitization with specific products and machines with hydrogen peroxide;
  • disinfection of surfaces, equipment, and care devices after each use;
  • use of suitable PPE for all operators, patients, and users;
  • hand sanitization upon entry and exit using alcohol gel;
  • limitations on the entry of visitors and companions (only one companion allowed for minors, non-self-sufficient persons, or in case of need for linguistic-cultural mediation);
  • physical safety distancing, with appropriate organization of waiting rooms, clinics, and common areas;
  • proper ventilation of premises;
  • use of physical barriers at reception desks, welcome points, and public access areas for administrative services.

Under the supervision of the Competent Doctor and the SPP, all personnel, including freelance doctors and collaborators (bar staff, companies, and external consultants), continued screening through antigenic/molecular swabs and serological tests to ensure negativity and therefore suitability for work in total safety.

The year 2021 was marked by a significant exodus of nurses, doctors, and radiology technicians to the public health system, called through rankings due to the high demand driven by the Health Emergency.

Therefore, the facility promptly activated to replace the missing healthcare personnel.
